Mandy Chapman – Life President

Jean Kneller – Treasurer and Secretary
I joined the club in 2006 when I took part in the first beginner’s course. Since then, I have briefly shot recurve, compound (for about 10 years) before finally seeing the light and shooting longbow.
I’ve been on the committee for many years: ordinary member, records officer, treasurer and now secretary & treasurer.
Archery is my main hobby, but I also enjoy knitting and playing computer games – especially time-wasting city-building ones.

Andrew Nicholson – Membership Secretary

Alan Larkin – Records and Welfare Officer
I am a retired civil servant/toolmaker. I started Archery as part of a family activity with my Wife and Daughter after doing the beginners course I have embraced archery as a new hobby, after a year I took over as records officer. With the committees help I developed a better 252 scheme for all archer, I also run the winters frostbite shoot. I feel I am an active member of the club by helping out with the beginners courses and anything that is required for the club.

John Doughty – Equipment Officer

Michelle Larkin – Safeguarding Officer & Beginners Coach
Hi I am Michelle, I work within Kings College Hospital Trust as a Trust Safety Officer. I took up Archery a year after my husband and teenage daughter it now something we can do as family. I advise on Health and Safety matters for the club.

Paul Napleton – Field Captain

Ken Gosden – Deputy Field Captain
Club member for about 6 to 7 years.
Conned into committee member for last 3 years.
Self proclaimed Club joker, but not always funny.
Highly approachable but some how scares off strangers.
Average archer but have a few club medals and badges.
Seems knowledgeable but ain’t.
Don’t like external competitions, but enjoys club ones.

Simon Clifton – Deputy Field Captain & Beginners Coach
The details of his black life and dubious death are written in certain books, and the foolish and the curious may seek them out. Nothing could induce us to elaborate here: by comparison Gilles de Rais was an angel in human form, and de Sade a weak and simpering child. The world is well rid of him – if rid of him it truly is…

David Tibble – Ordinary Member
I joined Sutton Bowmen in September 2022 following a lay- off from archery for some 55
years. It’s very fair to say that archery equipment has changed enormously during my period away
from shooting as a teenager.
With my advanced years, I only now work part time within the insurance industry which has
always been my career path.
Thoroughly enjoy the shooting sessions with some very interesting people – long may it
continue.

Tom Sutton – Ordinary Member

Alice Brooks – Club Engagement Officer
